Digital Transactions have gained massive massive traction post demonetization and all the credit goes to Unified Payments Interface(UPI) developed by NPCI. Today UPI is the primary digital payment method used by Indians, in-fact the average monthly transactions via UPI now stand close to 700 Crore Transactions per month, with total transaction value amounting to more than INR 11 Lakh Crore.
But as more and more people are transacting via UPI the number of frauds done by scamsters are increasing as well and to Safe Guard the consumers the NPCI has issued guidelines which state that a user can transact up to INR 1 lakh per day using UPI, but this limit varies from bank to bank, like the daily limit with IDBI bank is INR 25,000 only, while with banks like Axis and SBI the limit is INR 1,00,000. Moreover you can make up to 20 transactions per day post which you have to wait for 24 hours in order to make a UPI transaction again, but this also varies from provider to provider like GPay, PhonePe etc. If you are an avid UPI user check out the details here.
PhonePe UPI transaction limits
PhonePe has a fixed transaction limit of INR 1,00,000 per day. Users can do 10-20 transactions via app without any hourly limit or amount cap on any transaction.
Google Pay UPI transaction limits
While google pay like most other UPI payment providers is giving a transaction amount value of INR 1,00,000 the maximum number of transactions that can be made per day is limited to 10. While the maximum number of transactions are capped at 10, there is no hourly limit on these, users can make all the 10 transactions within an hour also.
PayTm transaction limits
Paytm has a total transaction amount limit of INR 1 Lakh per day. However you cannot pay more than INR 20,000 in an hour. Moreover only 5 transactions are allowed in an hour and only 20 maximum transactions can be made in 24 hours.
Amazon Pay Transaction Limits
Like most other providers here also the maximum transaction amount per day is fixed at 1 Lakh. Users can make up to 20 transactions per day however new users should keep this thing in mind that post registration on Amazon Pay you can transact only up to INR 5,000 in the first 24 hours.
