Foods You Must Try In Summer

Here are a few easily available foods which will help to lower body heat and stay cool during high summer.


1.Lemon (Nimbu)

Lemon helps in lowering body heat. A glass of lemon water in the morning with empty stomach helps you to keep your body cool.

Luke warm water with lemon juice and honey will help to reduce excess fat.

2.Cold Milk

Cold milk helps to keep body cool by reducing body heat. Have a glass of cold milk by mixing almond
powder/soaked almond puree during breakfast or in the night. Cold milk also helps to reduce acidity.

3.Tender Coconut Water

It keeps body cool and hydrated due to high water content. Helps to overcome problems such as dehydration and summer infections. Tender coconut is a rich source of vitamin C and minerals (Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorous, Potassium, Zinc and Potassium). Coconut water provides a relief if you are facing digestion problem.

4. Butter Milk

Buttermilk helps to keep body cool and hydrated. It is suggested to drink at least a glass of butter

5.Cumin Seeds (Jeera)

Cumin seeds also have cooling properties. Soak cumin seeds overnight in water and drink it in the morning. You can also consume cumin powder by mixing it with Buttermilk.

You can chew few mint leaves daily to overcome heat. If you don’t like it chewing. it can be consumed
by adding it to Buttermilk, chatni’s or with some fresh fruit juices. Mint will enhance flavor of Buttermilk/fresh fruit juices.

7.Fenugreek Seeds (Methi)

Fenugreek seeds are easily available ingredient which helps to reduce heat and keep body cool. Methi/Fenugreek seeds are generally used while cooking Indian dishes. Drink fenugreek water – soak Methi seeds overnight, strain seeds in the morning and drink the water

8.Fennel Seeds (Saunf)

To lower the body heat, fennel seeds also can be used. Soak overnight, strain seeds and have water in
the morning. In Indian culture Fennel seeds is served after lunch/dinner.

9.Poppy Seeds

Poppy Seeds are also helpful in lowering body heat. Poppy seeds can be consumed with water
before going to sleep. The reason behind is that it induces sleep and keeps body cool.

10.Basil Seeds (Tulsi Seeds)
